You can cancel for a full refund after 7 days if the seller has not shipped your book or arranged pick up. 🌟
If it has been 7 days or less since purchase message the seller and ask them to cancel the order. πŸ’Œ

After 7 days if the seller has not shipped your book or pick up has not been complete you can cancel directly from your profile by going to My Shopping. Click cancel next the chosen listing and you will receive a full refund. 🌟
You can contact the seller after purchasing a book through our messaging system. πŸ’Œ
Ourlit is free to use! You can list as many books as you want for free and you only get charged once a book is sold. πŸ“š

A 20% service fee is charged on the total book price (no fee will be charged for shipping cost). We use service fee funds to create a better experience for you! We improve marketing to attract buyers to your shop, enhance customer support, build more requested features, and keep our servers up and running. πŸ₯°

Our payments are handled by the world-class third-party payment provider, Stripe. βœ…

After selling a book earnings are securely sent to your Stripe account. A payout is triggered from your Stripe account to your linked bank after you mark as shipped or picked up. 🌟
It takes no more than 14 business days after marking as shipped or picked up to receive your earnings. πŸ’°

Exact payout times vary based on your existing feedback ratings, sales volume, price of the book, and shipping destination. πŸ•°

Selling on Ourlit

Verification is one time only and just takes a minute. 🌟
  1. Go to your Stripe dashboard.
  2. Click β€˜add information’ in the top banner.
  3. Click β€˜update’ & follow Stripe’s instructions to add an identity document.

It will take 2 - 3 days to verify your account. During this time you can continue to sell books and any earnings will be held securely in your Stripe account. After your verification is approved you can mark as shipped or picked up and your earnings will be sent to your bank account. πŸ’°

To comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations, our payment partner, Stripe, routinely flags accounts as requiring additional verification. If your account is under review, payments to your bank will pause until your identity is confirmed. During this time, you can keep selling books, and earnings will accumulate in your Stripe account.

You set your shipping price when you list your book. We recommend a 10.90 shipping price based on Australia Post’s flat rate postage cost for an average size book. You can always edit how much you charge. πŸ’Œ

If you use your own packaging it may be cheaper. If it costs more to ship than you expected when listing your book, you will need to pay the difference. πŸ“¬
No worries! If someone buys a book that you are no longer able to sell, you can cancel the order. Just navigate to your bookshop and click cancel. 🌟
Go to your bookshop under current listings. Under the picture of each listing you will find a button that says edit. 🌟

Categories are meant to help buyers browse books. Choose whatever category you feel best fits the book you are listing, and feel free to contact us if you need help! πŸ₯°
We suggest a price for you based on the condition of the book. You can always edit your price. We have a price minimum of $5 on books to protect sellers from a race to the bottom and maintain a quality standard. βœ…
Communicate with the buyer and confirm their address. If there was an issue in the address, resend them their book. πŸ’Œ
