After 7 days if the seller has not shipped your book or pick up has not been complete you can cancel directly from your profile by going to My Shopping. Click cancel next the chosen listing and you will receive a full refund. π

How much does it cost to use Ourlit?

Ourlit is free to use! You can list as many books as you want for free and you only get charged once a book is sold. π
A 20% service fee is charged on the total book price (no fee will be charged for shipping cost). We use service fee funds to create a better experience for you! We improve marketing to attract buyers to your shop, enhance customer support, build more requested features, and keep our servers up and running. π₯°

How do I get paid?
SELLING
Our payments are handled by the world-class third-party payment provider, Stripe. β
After selling a book earnings are securely sent to your Stripe account. A payout is triggered from your Stripe account to your linked bank after you mark as shipped or picked up. π

It takes no more than 14 business days after marking as shipped or picked up to receive your earnings. π°

How do I complete verification?
Verification is one time only and just takes a minute. π
It will take 2 - 3 days to verify your account. During this time you can continue to sell books and any earnings will be held securely in your Stripe account. After your verification is approved you can mark as shipped or picked up and your earnings will be sent to your bank account. π°

- Click βupdateβ & follow Stripeβs instructions to add an identity document.

To comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) regulations, our payment partner, Stripe, routinely flags accounts as requiring additional verification. If your account is under review, payments to your bank will pause until your identity is confirmed. During this time, you can keep selling books, and earnings will accumulate in your Stripe account.

How does shipping work on Ourlit?
You set your shipping price when you list your book. We recommend a 10.90 shipping price based on Australia Postβs flat rate postage cost for an average size book. You can always edit how much you charge. π
If you use your own packaging it may be cheaper. If it costs more to ship than you expected when listing your book, you will need to pay the difference. π¬

What if someone orders a book I can no longer sell?
No worries! If someone buys a book that you are no longer able to sell, you can cancel the order. Just navigate to your bookshop and click cancel. π
How do I edit a listing?
Go to your bookshop under current listings. Under the picture of each listing you will find a button that says edit. π

Go to your bookshop under current listings. Under the picture of each listing you will find a button that says edit. Click edit. Under the listing preview you will find a button that says delete. π«
Can I list multiple books together under one listing?
You can list book series together, for example βThe Hunger Games Trilogy.β π

What if I donβt know what category or tag to put?
Categories are meant to help buyers browse books. Choose whatever category you feel best fits the book you are listing, and feel free to contact us if you need help! π₯°
How do I decide the price of my book?
We suggest a price for you based on the condition of the book. You can always edit your price. We have a price minimum of $5 on books to protect sellers from a race to the bottom and maintain a quality standard. β
What should I do if a book is returned to the sender?
Communicate with the buyer and confirm their address. If there was an issue in the address, resend them their book. π
